We believe every pet deserves a loving forever home. Our adoption fees are on a sliding scale to provide more opportunities for pets who might stay longer in the shelter. Highly desirable pets or certain breeds may have increased adoption fees to help offset costs for other pets needing extra care or medical treatments.
When you adopt a pet with a higher adoption fee, you're not only saving that pet's life but also helping to save the lives of less fortunate pets. This allows us to reduce adoption fees for pets with medical needs or those who require extra care.
We offer same-day adoptions, and pets who have already been spayed or neutered can go home the same day. No appointment is needed to visit and meet our pets—stop by and find your new best friend today!

Cats and Kittens
- Optional FeLV/FIV testing is available.
- Selected cats are always available at PetSense in Picayune.

Dogs and Puppies
- Adult dogs (over 6 months) are tested for heartworms and are h/w free unless otherwise noted.
- Heartworm positive dogs receive a modified treatment before adoption.
- A selection of dogs and puppies is brought to PetSmart in Slidell almost every weekend.
